Episode Summary
Lisa meets a wonderful substitute teacher, Mr. Bergstrom, who makes learning exciting and truly understands her. When he leaves, Lisa is heartbroken. Meanwhile, Bart runs for class president and loses to Martin. The episode’s warmth comes from Homer’s clumsy but loving attempt to comfort Lisa, showing that family love matters.
